How to Text Message
Text messaging is now a part of everyday life. Here we describe the basics.
SMS or short message service was developed for enhanced communication. Often times it is better to see details on a text message than writing them down on paper while someone dictates on the phone. Sending such messages from one mobile phone to another is quite easy.
The first step is finding the buttons on the Menu that would bring you to the “Create Text Message” or “Create New SMS” on your mobile phone. Depending on the cell phone model, you might have to enter the mobile number/s to which you are sending the message before you start texting; other models work the other way.
Again, how you type a message depends on the phone that you are using. For those with QWERTY keypads, you can easily type in the message. For those with the number and letters system, you can type in a letter by pressing the number button corresponding to that certain letter a number of times until the correct letter appears on screen. You may also have the option of predictive text, whereby you start typing and a word appears. There is no absolute right or wrong in how you form the words in your SMS – just make sure that you leave as many letters as possible in a word to ensure that miscommunication does not occur. When you are done, press the “Send” or “OK” button to send the message.
The best way to learn to text is just to pick up your phone and start messaging now. On many cell phone plans, your bills will actually be lower than if you continue calling your contacts every time you need to inform them of something. However, you should check your exact plan for the number of texts allowed per month.

Cell Phone Coupons
A cell phone coupon is becoming the more effective and “green” way for businesses to offer coupons to consumers. Often times when a business is marketing via text message, it will provide a special offer to consumers to get them to opt in. Once the consumer has opted in, they will receive this cell phone coupon right to their phone instead of going through the hassle of cutting it out and remembering to bring it at time of purchase.
A cell phone coupon has huge potential for businesses’ advertising efforts. It offers the ability to target market to specific audiences—only those who are interested in the product and have opted into the service. A company will not waste money on printing coupons that go out to anyone and everyone. Also, as most people carry their cell phone at all times, there will be more of a chance they will have the cell phone coupon at time of purchase.
There are different ways to use these cell phone coupons. For instance, a customer might receive an SMS with a numeric coupon code which will then be entered into the store register when a purchase is actually finalized. Another way is through MMS, whereby the customer can show the coupon to the cashier who would scan the barcode on the image.
Because a cell phone coupon is delivered right to a consumer’s phone, it is also more environmentally friendly than printable coupons. A person will have only those coupons that they want and all stored in their handheld device. A cell phone coupon is more convenient and with the rise of smartphones, are the marketing wave of the near future.

Gadgets That Actually Increase Productivity
Business folks were asked what device helps them be productive. The majority of folks responded with their cell phone or smart phone.
“I took a look at my handy dandy Blackberry and lo and be-hold there ya go a notification I had ANOTHER sale. I’m able to connect with anyone and everyone because I hold my own personal computer in my hand! I can BE everywhere and nowhere all at the same time. I decided to stand up and do what the masses will not. I will not be denied! This gadget is my vehicle around the world today. That’s productivity!”
Mobile Marketing connects with business folks
“Cell phones are by far the best productivity tool known to man. We can have all the computers and mini’s that we desire but nothing beats a great smart-phone!”
“I love my cell phone! I finally got a cell that has access to my business email, and unlimited texting. This access to email comes in extra handy while traveling since I don’t have to hook up my laptop to check email anymore. LOVE THIS! I also think texting is amazing as you can pretty much do it anywhere!”
