Mobile Event Marketing

leave a comment »

Mobile event marketing is a relatively new marketing approach which utilizes mobile phones to deliver the promotional item. For sellers, this is an easy and convenient way to send ads to many people at the same time.  The seller can rest assured that the majority of those in his contact database will receive and read the message and then purchase the product, avail themselves of the services being offered or buy tickets to a particular event advertised.

Mobile event marketing began via short message service (SMS) in the early 2000s. It was at this time that the guidelines to mobile marketing were created and imposed to ensure that spamming is kept to a minimum. As the mobile phone industry developed, so did mobile marketing. When multimedia message service (MMS) was created, ads were soon sent in image or video format. As, in theory, any color-screen mobile phone can show these MMS ads, it became easier to introduce an event or product to potential consumers.

In recent years, when the Internet technology began including cellular phones, mobile marketing soon included mobile web marketing. This time, ads were tailored to fit into web pages designed to be read and accessed through a mobile phone. Mobile advertising has never before been this high-tech.
Still, with all the advances in marketing, is mobile event marketing really important? Actually, yes! How else could you let the world – or at least your target customers – know about your products if you don’t tell them? A mobile event is just what you need to virtually put the show on the road.

Confused about how you can set up a mobile event without breaking the rules? Ask Qittle™ www.qittle.com.  You will find the mobile event marketing strategy that suits you and your business.

Mobile SMS Marketing

leave a comment »

Mobile SMS marketing has become one of the most widely used forms of marketing in Europe and Asia. It has taken several cities by storm even in its infancy because of the wide audience that it can reach as well as its ability to distribute important marketing and promotional information through SMS.

If you take into consideration the number of people who use mobile phones today, you will recognize the excellent potential that mobile SMS marketing has. Mobile marketing can become a very powerful tool to execute a well-targeted and well-designed marketing campaign.

Text messaging has always been used by people to communicate with other people but it is no longer solely used for that. The high potential that it has in exchanging and spreading information is now used by a lot of business organizations. It is also being used for content services such as voting polls on the radio and on television as well as a way for customers to get in touch with service providers.

Mobile marketing has been very effective for many companies. It has delivered great response rates for a lot of business organizations that have utilized this relatively new marketing strategy. It offers a new marketing technique that a lot of people will find fresh and novel. With more customization and a personalized approach in marketing, it won’t be long until business organizations will see positive results in their business advertising efforts through text messaging.

Currently, mobile SMS marketing is used to send SMS and MMS messages such as mobile coupons and personalized alerts, distribute links to relevant mobile websites, create mobile campaigns, manage new and existing customers, and push mobile content and many more.

Green Coupon

leave a comment »

A cell phone coupon or “green coupon” is becoming the more effective and “green” way for businesses to offer coupons to consumers. Often times when a business is marketing via text message, it will provide a special offer to consumers to get them to opt in. Once the consumer has opted in, they will receive this cell phone coupon right to their phone instead of going through the hassle of cutting it out and remembering to bring it at time of purchase.

A green coupon has huge potential for businesses’ advertising efforts. It offers the ability to target market to specific audiences—only those who are interested in the product and have opted into the service. A company will not waste money on printing coupons that go out to anyone and everyone. Also, as most people carry their cell phone at all times, there will be more of a chance they will have the cell phone coupon at time of purchase.

There are different ways to use these green coupons.  For instance, a customer might receive an SMS with a numeric coupon code which will then be entered into the store register when a purchase is actually finalized.  Another way is through MMS, whereby the customer can show the coupon to the cashier who would scan the barcode on the image.

Because a green coupon is delivered right to a consumer’s phone, it is also more environmentally friendly than printable coupons. A person will have only those coupons that they want and all stored in their handheld device. A cell phone coupon is more convenient and with the rise of smartphones, are the marketing wave of the near future.

The new norm, Market domination by one Player

leave a comment »

alt

In today’s world the new norm seems to be that of market domination by one company. We have been talking about it with Search and we all know who is the market leader there.

For some time we’ve been saying the same thing would take place in the mobile world as well. At last night’s Mobile Monday event in Boulder we heard from the market leader of Mobile Giving for Non Profits what their market share is… 94%

Mobile is segmented down into many different verticals and several of those are still up for grabs.
